This project involved two homes in Provo that needed custom railings for both their front and back porches.
On paper, it was a simple request. In reality, it’s the kind of work where shortcuts show up immediately.

Porch railings get used every single day. People lean on them. Kids grab them. Groceries get balanced on them.
If they flex, rattle, or feel questionable, everyone notices.

These railings were fabricated with simple lines and tight spacing—nothing flashy, nothing decorative for the sake
of it. The focus was stiffness, clean welds, and solid anchoring.
Every post was set and secured to eliminate movement. Every rail was aligned so it reads straight and intentional
from the street and from the porch.
This is the kind of work where “almost right” is worse than wrong.

They don’t draw attention to themselves—and that’s the point.
Final Thought
Smaller residential projects don’t get a pass. They live right at eye level and get touched every day.
If a railing feels good in the hand and disappears into the house, the job was done right.
