HOW WE WORK WITH CONTRACTORS
1. SEND US YOUR PLANS
Submit PDF, DWG, DXF, or SOLIDWORKS files. We review the scope, dimensions, and fabrication details for coordination before quoting. No plan set yet? A detailed scope description and site photos work for preliminary estimates. Large file sets can be emailed directly to jason@utahwelder.com.
2. WE DELIVER A FIXED QUOTE
Straightforward projects get a quote next business day. Complex structural work may take up to one week depending on CAD requirements. Our proposal clearly defines the included scope, materials, fabrication, installation assumptions, and exclusions. Changes to drawings, site conditions, access, materials, schedule, or scope are addressed in writing before work proceeds.
3. CAD DRAWINGS BEFORE FABRICATION
Projects requiring fabrication drawings receive drawings for review and approval before fabrication begins.
4. FABRICATION ON YOUR SCHEDULE
We confirm lead times before you commit. Lead times are confirmed before scheduling and vary based on drawing completion, material availability, finish requirements, and project complexity. We don’t disappear — you get updates throughout.
5. INSTALLATION COORDINATED WITH YOUR TIMELINE
We handle installation and coordinate with your site schedule. We coordinate field conditions early and communicate promptly when access, substrate conditions, existing construction, or approved drawings affect installation.
